Washington Professional Educator Standards Board must periodically review approved teacher and principal preparation programs and publish results on its website in a format enabling program comparison

Ongoing reviews must include four components: program standards, educator role standards, evidence submitted by programs, and input from community constituents including classroom educators and school district administrators with direct program experience

Review components must be regularly updated to reflect changing classroom needs as identified by educators and changes to state and federal requirements, promoting better continuity across the educator preparation system

Programs found out of alignment with standards must be notified and required to identify corrective actions

Teacher preparation programs must submit field placement partnership plans to the board at least once every three years (changed from every even-numbered year), with Section 3 taking effect January 1, 2027
