Sexually violent predators released to less restrictive alternatives are prohibited from residing within 500 feet of child care facilities, K-12 schools, and recreational facilities

Residences must also have no direct sight line to these protected facilities, adding a visual barrier requirement beyond the distance restriction

Amends existing law (RCW 71.09.096) which previously only required a 500-foot distance restriction from child care facilities and schools, now expanding protections to include recreational facilities and the sight line prohibition

Courts must still impose electronic monitoring with real-time tracking and exclusion zones as a condition of any release to a less restrictive alternative
