Requires military veterans to have received at least a general discharge under honorable conditions to be eligible for the legislature

Mandates all legislative candidates undergo a State Patrol background investigation completed within the prior six months, including criminal history check, social media review, citizenship verification, psychological examination, and polygraph assessment

Requires inquiry into candidates' past or present affiliations with extremist organizations as part of the background investigation process
