Department of Health Services must establish a grant program for adult family homes, community-based residential facilities, nursing homes, and residential care apartment complexes to purchase patient lift devices

Appropriates $300,000 in GPR as a continuing appropriation for fiscal year 2025-26 for grants and data collection

Patient lift devices purchased with grant funds must be DHS-approved, capable of independent operation by patients/residents, operable by staff, and designed to mechanically lift a person

Grant recipients must agree to participate in data reporting as specified by DHS, which will collect and analyze the reported data

Data collection and analysis activities are capped at $100,000 of the total appropriation, with DHS authorized to contract with third parties for this purpose
