Public Service Commission must conduct a nuclear power siting study and submit results to the legislature within 12 months of the bill taking effect

Study must identify nuclear power opportunities at existing nuclear and non-nuclear power sites, new sites for nuclear and fusion energy generation, and sites for development of advanced nuclear technologies including small modular reactors

Study must consider the 2024 U.S. Department of Energy report "Evaluation of Nuclear Power Plant and Coal Power Plant Sites for New Nuclear Capacity"

PSC must take final action on certificate of public convenience and necessity applications for large electric generating facilities with advanced nuclear reactors within 150 days of application completion

If PSC fails to act within 150 days, the certificate is automatically issued unless the PSC chairperson extends the deadline by up to 150 additional days for good cause
