Department of Public Instruction will pay $7,000 bonuses to teachers who have been continuously licensed and employed by the same school board for five consecutive school years

Bonus payments begin in the 2031-32 school year, with the 2026-27 school year being the first year counted toward eligibility

Teachers can receive additional $7,000 bonuses for each subsequent five-year period of continuous service that does not overlap with periods used for prior bonus eligibility

Longevity bonuses are excluded from earnings calculations for the Wisconsin Retirement System

School boards must annually report to DPI the names of teachers eligible for bonus payments
