Creates an exception allowing retired protective occupation participants (police, firefighters, etc.) and county jailers to continue receiving their Wisconsin Retirement System annuity while working for a WRS-participating employer after retirement

Requires a minimum 75-day break between retirement and returning to work with a participating employer to qualify for the exception

Retirees must not have any pre-arranged agreement to return to employment at the time of their initial retirement

Qualifying annuitants must elect on a department form to not become a participating employee upon rehire

County jailers who opted out of protective occupation participant status are treated the same as those who remained protective occupation participants for purposes of this exception
