Creates provisional social worker certificates and licenses for individuals who have taken but not passed the national social work examination, while meeting all other credential requirements

Provisional credentials are valid for 36 months, cannot be renewed, and apply to all four social work practice levels: social worker, advanced practice social worker, independent social worker, and clinical social worker

Requires 37.5 hours of supervision during the first 2,000 hours of practice, with at least 3 hours of supervision for every 160 hours worked; 25 hours must be one-on-one in-person supervision

Provisional credential holders must submit a supervision plan for approval and receive evaluations every 6 months, with a final supervisor attestation of competency after completing supervised practice

Upon successful completion of supervised practice requirements, individuals may obtain a full nonprovisional credential without passing the national examination
