Technical colleges in Wisconsin may lease their facilities to outside parties for the operation of child care centers, with approval from the Technical College System Board

Creates an exception to the prohibition on facility leases that has been in effect since June 30, 1999

Current law already permits technical colleges to rent property not needed for school purposes; this bill specifically addresses leasing for child care operations

Amends statute 38.14 (2) (d) 1. and applies to leases entered into on or after the effective date of the act
