Department of Health Services must fund a provider to operate a school-centered mental health pilot program at two schools for two school years during the 2025-27 biennium, with funding amount determined by the DHS secretary

One participating school must be in a rural district and one in a suburban or urban district; schools must currently offer behavioral health resources and agree to facilitate surveys and provide pupil data

Program funds must support full-time therapists, family coaches, and other necessary positions to deliver year-round services to at-risk pupils and families at school, home, and in the community

Required program components include evidence-based individual or family therapy, classroom observations with pupil-specific behavior interventions, school staff training, and family coaching aligned with therapeutic goals

Provider must submit an impact report to DHS within six months of program completion covering changes in social determinants of health, mental health symptoms, and academic/social-emotional outcomes; DHS must distribute the report to the legislature within 14 days
