Department of Justice required to award grants to law enforcement agencies for acquiring data-sharing platforms that integrate data from multiple law enforcement systems in real-time

Eligible platforms must meet 11 specific criteria including: eliminating redundant records, providing configurable search and analytics, restricting access by role and data type, enabling secure inter-agency data sharing, and reaching full operational capability within 90 days

Platforms must comply with Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) security standards and support single-sign-on, multifactor authentication, and granular audit logging

Law enforcement agencies retain all rights to their own data under required open, interoperable architecture terms

Joint Committee on Finance may provide up to $2,000,000 per fiscal year in the 2025-27 biennium upon DOJ request to fund the grant program
