Office of School Safety must award grants to technical college district boards to submit interactive critical mapping data of their buildings to local law enforcement agencies and the Office of School Safety

Grant applications must be submitted through the president of the technical college system board, working jointly with district boards and local law enforcement agencies

Mapping data must be compatible with platforms used by local, state, and federal public safety officials and cannot require officials or district boards to purchase additional software

Data must include information to assist first responders in emergencies, such as building numbers, floors, suite designations, and room numbers

Department of Justice must include these new technical college grants in its annual report to the Joint Committee on Finance
