Courts would be prohibited from issuing criminal complaints against law enforcement officers involved in officer-involved deaths when a district attorney has determined there is no basis for prosecution

An exception allows courts to issue complaints if new or unused evidence is presented

Officer-involved death is defined as a death resulting directly from an action or omission of a law enforcement officer (per s. 175.47)

Amends Wisconsin statutes 968.02 and 968.26 governing criminal complaint procedures

Applies only to district attorney determinations made on or after the bill's effective date
