Modifies the Department of Public Instruction's equalization aid payment schedule to school districts, gradually shifting funds from the June payment to the September payment over five years

Current law distributes aid as: 15% in September, 25% in December, 25% in March, and 35% in June

Increases the September payment by 2 percentage points each year while decreasing the June payment by 2 percentage points annually from 2025-26 through 2028-29

Beginning in the 2029-30 school year, equalization aid will be distributed in four equal 25% installments (September, December, March, and June)

Takes effect the day after publication, with final statutory cleanup provisions effective July 1, 2030
