Minor league baseball players under contract who are covered by a collective bargaining agreement are exempted from Wisconsin's state minimum wage requirements

Employers of qualifying minor league players are not required to pay overtime (time-and-a-half for hours over 40 per week) under state rules

Employers are relieved of recordkeeping obligations for hours worked and wages paid to these minor league players

Exemptions apply only when the collective bargaining agreement expressly addresses wages and working conditions

Amends Wisconsin Statutes sections 103.023, 104.01, and 104.09; introduced July 17, 2025 with bipartisan sponsorship and referred to Committee on State Affairs
