Department of Transportation required to develop and administer a local traffic calming grant program for infrastructure projects designed to reduce vehicular traffic speeds

Eligible grant recipients include counties, cities, villages, towns, and federally recognized Indian tribes or bands

Projects must be eligible for funding under the federal transportation alternatives program

$60,000,000 appropriated from the general fund for fiscal year 2025-26 as a continuing appropriation

DOT must establish application requirements and criteria for evaluating and awarding grants
