Fee applies to default appearances, guilty or no contest pleas, warrant or summons issuance, and contested trials

Excludes financial responsibility violations and certain ordinance violations related to driver's licenses and vehicle equipment from the fee increase

Changes terminology from "municipal judge" to "municipal court" throughout the statute

Municipal treasurers continue to pay $5 monthly to the state general fund from each fee collected, retaining the balance for municipal use
