Expands Wisconsin's existing ban on corporal punishment from public school districts only to include charter schools and private schools

Corporal punishment is defined as intentional infliction of physical pain used as discipline, including paddling, slapping, and prolonged maintenance of physically painful positions

Exempts actions consistent with individualized education programs (IEPs) and reasonable physical activities associated with athletic training from the definition of corporal punishment

Requires all school governing bodies (school boards, charter school boards, and private school governing bodies) to adopt policies allowing reasonable and necessary force for specific permitted purposes such as safety

Takes effect on the first July 1 after publication
