Allows voters in partisan primary elections to "split tickets" by selecting candidates from different political parties for different offices, including governor and lieutenant governor

Permits voters to vote for independent candidates alongside party candidates in partisan primaries, rather than being forced to choose only one category

Maintains the restriction that voters may only vote for one candidate per office

Eliminates current requirement that voters cast ballots within only one party's column during partisan primaries

Takes effect beginning with the 2026 partisan primary election
