Requires packaged food products containing lab-grown meat (cultured animal cells or tissue) to display "lab-grown meat" in lettering at least as large as any other text on the label, with contrasting color, and include a complete ingredient list

Prohibits restaurants from selling lab-grown meat as a substitute for conventional meat unless specifically ordered by the customer

Bans serving lab-grown meat as a meat substitute to students, patients, or inmates at state institutions, except when ordered by a superintendent for a specific patient/inmate's health needs as directed by a physician

First offense penalties include fines of $100-$500 and/or up to 3 months imprisonment; subsequent offenses carry fines of $500-$1,000 and/or 6 months to 1 year imprisonment

Takes effect January 1, 2027
