School boards and independent charter schools must administer numeracy screening assessments to students in kindergarten through 8th grade at least 3 times per year beginning in the 2026-27 school year, with the first assessment within 30 days of the school term start and the third no later than 45 days before the term ends

Students identified as at-risk of not meeting grade-level math standards must receive quality math tutoring, which requires at least 3 days per week or 50 hours over a 36-week period from a DPI-approved provider or one meeting local standards

Personal mathematics plans must be developed within 30 days for students identified as at-risk on 2 consecutive assessments, including specific deficiencies, interventions with explicit instruction, parent involvement opportunities, and progress monitoring

School districts and independent charter schools where fewer than 51% of 4th graders scored proficient or better on the Forward Exam math portion must develop and submit mathematics achievement plans to DPI beginning in 2026-27

DPI must establish a model mathematics achievement plan by July 1, 2026, and annually compile a list of high-quality math tutoring providers using a points-based evaluation system
