Increases first-year consolidation aid from $150 to $2,000 per pupil for school district consolidations taking effect in 2026, 2027, or 2028

Maintains current aid structure of $150 per pupil for years 2-5 following consolidation for qualifying districts

Consolidation aid in year 6 equals 50% of year 5 amount; year 7 equals 25% of year 5 amount (unchanged from current law)

Applies to consolidations under both sections 117.08 and 117.09 of state statutes

Consolidation aid continues to be funded through sum sufficient appropriation from the Department of Public Instruction
