Wisconsin would join the Driver License Compact (DLC), an interstate agreement for sharing driver licensing and conviction information among member states

Party states must report motor vehicle convictions of out-of-state drivers to the driver's home state, which then takes administrative action (suspension, revocation, or limitation) as if the violation occurred there

Covered offenses requiring home-state action include vehicular manslaughter/negligent homicide, driving under the influence, felonies involving motor vehicles, and hit-and-run accidents causing death or injury

States cannot issue a license to applicants whose license is currently suspended or revoked in another party state, or to those holding a valid license elsewhere unless surrendered

Withdrawal from the compact requires a 6-month notice period after the state enacts a repealing statute
