Requires public school boards, private schools, and charter schools to notify parents/guardians when there is reasonable cause to suspect their child was a victim of sexual misconduct by school staff, contact with convicted child sex offenders working with children, or unauthorized photographing by sex offenders

Notification must be provided in-person or by phone by 5 p.m. the same day if the report is received during school hours, or by noon the next calendar day if received after hours or on non-school days

Reports trigger notification requirements when received by licensed school employees, Title IX coordinators, or school administrators (principals, assistant principals)

Notification requirement does not apply when the alleged conduct involves the pupil's own parent or guardian

School boards must annually inform parents of their rights to access school employee discipline records under public records law
