Expands the existing false 911 reporting law to include text messages, making it illegal to intentionally send a false text to 911 reporting an emergency that does not exist

First offense is punishable by a fine of $100 to $600, imprisonment up to 90 days, or both

Repeat offenses committed within 4 years of a prior offense are classified as a Class H felony

Amends Wisconsin statute 256.35 (10)(a) to add text messaging alongside phone calls as a prohibited method of making false emergency reports
