Department of Military Affairs required to award security grants to nonprofit religious organizations, with $5,000,000 appropriated annually for fiscal years 2025-26 and 2026-27

Maximum grant award capped at $500,000 per recipient per fiscal biennium; religious federations or umbrella organizations may receive up to $500,000 per member organization

Priority given to organizations that have been or are at risk of being targeted by religiously-motivated bias incidents or hate crimes

Eligible uses include physical security enhancements (surveillance, fencing, fortified entryways), hiring security personnel, crisis response training, and emergency preparedness activities

Two full-time positions added to the Department of Military Affairs to administer the grant program
