State Superintendent of Public Instruction must develop recommended training courses on recognizing, reporting, and preventing human trafficking and sextortion for grades 6-12, in consultation with the Department of Children and Families and Department of Justice

School boards must provide age-appropriate instruction in human trafficking and sextortion prevention at least once in grades 6-8 and at least once in grades 9-12, beginning in the 2026-27 school year

Full-time school district employees holding Department of Public Instruction licenses must receive training on identifying victims and potential victims of child trafficking and sextortion

"Sextortion" is defined as sexual exploitation where a perpetrator obtains sexually explicit material from a victim and threatens to release it unless the victim provides money, additional sexual content, or engages in sexual activity
