Department of Health Services must establish a violence prevention grant program to distribute funds to local health departments or tribal health centers for conducting violence prevention programs or awarding grants to organizations for such programs

Program funded entirely by excise taxes collected on vapor products under state tax law

Grant funds explicitly prohibited from being distributed to law enforcement agencies, tribal law enforcement agencies, or any entities providing services in conjunction with law enforcement

Grant applications due no later than June 30 of each fiscal year

DHS authorized 1.0 new FTE position for program administration, with $30,000 appropriated for fiscal year 2025-26 and $120,000 for fiscal year 2026-27
