Cities and villages are prohibited from denying subdivision approval in their extraterritorial jurisdiction based on proposed land use, public improvement specifications, land division design standards, or annexation agreements

Extraterritorial jurisdiction extends 3 miles from first, second, or third class cities and 1.5 miles from fourth class cities or villages into unincorporated town territory

Towns that successfully sue to enforce these new restrictions are entitled to recover reasonable attorney fees from the municipality
