County refugee resettlement committees composed of all designated representatives must convene within 30-45 days to discuss proposed placements and hold a public hearing within 30 days of their initial meeting

Committees must recommend whether local governments should pass resolutions on proposed refugee placements and provide guidance on consultation considerations including impacts on local agencies and placement timelines

Designated representatives must report any finalized refugee placement plans to their local governing bodies within 7 business days; counties bear all costs of the committee process
