Expands Wisconsin's existing wireless device ban from "instructional time" only to the entire "school day," including recess, class transitions, and lunch periods, effective July 1, 2027

Requires school boards to adopt policies prohibiting students from using personal wireless devices (cellular phones, tablets, laptops, gaming devices) during school hours, with school-district-issued devices exempted

Permits school boards to implement storage pouches, on-site device storage, complete possession bans on school premises, and consequences including confiscation for the remainder of the school day

Mandates exceptions for emergencies/threats, health care management, IEP or Section 504 plan accommodations, and teacher-authorized educational use during instruction

Requires annual distribution of the policy to all enrolled students and submission of policies to the Department of Public Instruction by October 1, 2027, with annual updates thereafter
