Exempts specified agricultural warehouses from automatic fire sprinkler system requirements when storing liquid bulk fertilizer/pesticide (if in DATCP-compliant secondary containment) or dry bulk fertilizer/pesticide

Applies only to warehouses where construction begins after the bill's effective date, designed primarily for storing fertilizers, pesticides, fungicides, rodenticides, insecticides, and crop protection products for distribution to agricultural producers

Requires warehouse owners to notify the local fire department chief that water should not be used to suppress fires and to provide updates on any changes to chemicals stored

Exemption does not apply to offices or retail stores within or attached to the warehouse; offices inside must have egress routes that bypass chemical storage areas

State department and local governments retain authority to require other fire detection, prevention, or suppression measures besides automatic sprinkler systems
