Violations constitute unfair trade practices; DATCP or DOJ may seek forfeitures up to $7,500 per violation plus injunctive relief, while harmed minors or parents may recover the greater of actual damages or $1,000 per violation, plus punitive damages for egregious violations and attorney fees.
