School boards and charter schools are prohibited from banning students from wearing traditional tribal regalia at graduation ceremonies or school-sponsored events

Eligible students include members of federally recognized American Indian tribes or bands, descendants of members, or those eligible to enroll in a tribe

"Traditional tribal regalia" is defined as a tribe's traditional dress or recognized objects of religious or cultural significance, including tribal symbols, beads, and feathers

The definition of "tribe" includes both currently federally recognized tribes and those that were previously federally recognized
