Permit fees set at $40 for adults, $20 for children age 12 and older, and free for children under 12, plus a 75-cent issuing fee for those 12 and older

Exempts vehicle admission areas (state parks, recreation areas, roadside parks), organized events, and trails covered by separate DNR trail passes from the permit requirement

Permits valid for the calendar year of issuance and may be issued directly by DNR or through appointed non-employee agents, who may retain 50 cents of each issuing fee as compensation

Grants DNR rule-making authority to regulate permit agents and designate alternative forms of proof of permit
