Removes registered nurses from the list of health care providers authorized to provide written statements excusing children from school due to temporary physical or mental conditions

Retains authorization for physicians, naturopathic doctors, dentists, chiropractors, optometrists, psychologists, physician assistants, advanced practice registered nurses, and Christian Science practitioners to provide such statements

Amends Wisconsin statute 118.15 (3)(a) governing compulsory school attendance exceptions for children ages 6-18

Written excuses must specify a time period not exceeding 30 days

Effective date: September 1, 2026
