Wisconsin Legislature honors Representative Rudolph L. "Rudy" Silbaugh, who passed away on July 1, 2025, at age 94, and extends condolences to his family

Served three terms in the Wisconsin State Assembly (1991-1997) representing the 46th Assembly District as a Republican, and previously served on the Stoughton Common Council (1978-1991)

Chaired the Assembly Committee on Aging and Long-Term Care and served on committees covering financial institutions, highways, housing, judiciary, small business, and state affairs

Legislative accomplishments included enacting enhanced penalties for fraudulent trade practices against elderly and disabled persons and restoring denture coverage under Medical Assistance

Founded U&S Floor Coverings in 1965 and volunteered with numerous organizations including Gideons International, Stoughton Lions Club, AARP, and the UW-Madison Department of Ophthalmology advisory board
