Wisconsin Legislature honors Chief Justice Ann Walsh Bradley upon her retirement from the Wisconsin Supreme Court

First woman appointed as circuit court judge in Marathon County (1985 by Governor Tony Earl) and first woman elected to the Wisconsin Supreme Court (1995)

Served three 10-year terms on the Wisconsin Supreme Court (elected 1995, reelected 2005 and 2015) and was chosen by colleagues as Chief Justice in 2025

Career included high school teaching in La Crosse, J.D. from University of Wisconsin Law School as a Knapp Scholar, and international judicial leadership roles including Vice-Chair of the International Judicial Academy and chair of the International Association of Women Judges
