Wisconsin Assembly Resolution 7 formally recognizes the achievements of women athletes in the state at professional and collegiate levels

Honors the University of Wisconsin Women's Ice Hockey Team for seven Frozen Four Championships (2006, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2019, 2021, and 2023) and individual Most Outstanding Player honorees

Recognizes Margaret Danhauser of Racine, who won the first All-American Girls Professional Baseball League World Championship in 1943 with the Racine Belles, the team that inspired the 1992 film "A League of Their Own"

Celebrates Olympic medalists Beth Heiden (1980 bronze, speedskating), Gwen Jorgensen of Waukesha (2016 gold, triathlon), and Bonnie Blair of Delafield (five gold medals in speedskating across 1988, 1992, and 1994 Winter Olympics)

Honors gymnast Chellsie Memmel of West Allis, who competed at the 2008 Beijing Olympics and won three gold medals at 2003 and 2005 World Championships
