School boards and charter school governing boards must allow military recruiters access to public high school common areas during recruitment visits and during school days or school-sanctioned events

Military recruiter access requirements apply regardless of what access schools provide to colleges or prospective employers, aligning with federal law (10 USC 503(c))

Schools are not required to allow military recruiters into classrooms during instructional time

Requirements apply to both traditional public school districts and Milwaukee's 1st class city school district

Law takes effect beginning with the 2025-26 school year
