Former Public Service Commission commissioners are prohibited for 36 months after leaving office from taking compensated employment with investor-owned public utilities or transmission companies in roles involving policy making, executive decision-making, operations management, or government relations.

Violations are enforced as breaches of Wisconsin's code of ethics for state public officials, administered by the Ethics Commission.

The prohibition applies retroactively to any person who ceased being a commissioner during the 12 months immediately preceding the bill's effective date.

Creates new section 19.45 (8m) of Wisconsin statutes.
