Creates an exception allowing retired jailers and protective occupation participants (law enforcement, firefighters) to continue receiving Wisconsin Retirement System annuity payments while being rehired by a WRS-participating employer

Requires a minimum 75-day break between retirement and rehire, with no pre-arranged return-to-work agreement at the time of retirement

Allows the rehired annuitant to elect not to become a participating employee again, continuing their retirement benefits while working

Applies equally to county jailers regardless of whether they opted into protective occupation participant status under current law

Applies to participants who terminate employment on or after the effective date of the act
