School buses may display one illuminated sign above the front windshield and one above the rear window, emitting steady, nonglaring light.

School buses may be equipped with LED strobe lights meeting or exceeding Class II SAE J845 standards.

The Department of Transportation Secretary may prescribe rules for specifications, installation, and operation of the authorized back-up lamps.

Act takes effect the day after publication, except administrative rule provisions which follow separate statutory timing.
