Manufacturers may protect trade secrets by redacting documentation or withholding certain development information, but cannot refuse to provide repair-necessary materials solely on trade secret grounds

Manufacturers and equipment dealers are shielded from liability for faulty repairs performed by owners or independent providers, including consequential damages and loss of equipment use

Violations carry penalties of $100 to $10,000 per violation, and individuals suffering pecuniary loss may recover double damages or $200 per violation, plus attorney fees
