Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC) would award competitive grants up to $50,000 to municipalities, counties, American Indian tribes, economic development organizations, and nonprofits for rural creative economy projects

Grants may fund tourism and community development plans through creative enterprises, including public arts performances, building renovations, community arts education, business accelerators, and technical assistance for creative businesses

"Rural area" defined as cities/towns/villages under 10,000 population, non-urbanized areas per federal census, or counties under 55,000 population

Recipients must provide 1:1 matching funds from non-state sources, with in-kind contributions limited to 25% of the match amount

WEDC required to submit effectiveness report to Joint Committee on Finance by May 1, 2027
