UW System institutions, technical colleges, and private nonprofit colleges must annually report undergraduate program data to the Higher Educational Aids Board (HEAB) beginning July 1, 2027, including average graduate salaries at 6 months post-graduation, average student debt, graduation rates, total cost of attendance, financial aid availability, and the 10 most popular degree programs.

Every 5 years starting by July 1, 2032, institutions must also report 5-year post-graduation salary data broken down by major, including the percentage of graduates employed in their field of study.

HEAB must compile the reported data into a comparison-friendly electronic document and work with the Department of Workforce Development to identify Wisconsin's 50 most in-demand jobs with their average starting salaries and required education levels.

Beginning in the 2027-28 school year, the Department of Public Instruction must provide this college cost and outcome data to school boards, who must then share it with high school juniors and seniors as part of required academic and career planning services.
