Lowers the minimum age for assistant child care teachers at licensed child care centers from 17-18 years old to 16 years old

Requires assistant child care teachers to complete early childhood education training within 6 months of hire, including 2 college credits, one DCF-approved non-credit course, or a DPI-approved training program

Permits sole supervision of children only by assistant teachers who are at least 18 years old and have completed required training

Limits sole supervision in full-day centers to the first and last 2 hours of operation and up to 2 hours during naptime, with a child care teacher on premises

Limits sole supervision in school-age programs to 45 minutes maximum, with a program leader or child care teacher on premises
