School buses may be equipped with audio and/or video recording devices to monitor the interior while transporting pupils to and from school and school-sponsored activities

Recording is only permitted if the school board, charter school governing board, or private/tribal school governing body adopts an authorizing policy

Notice of the recording policy must be provided to pupils and their parents or guardians, and clearly posted inside the school bus

All recordings must remain confidential and may only be accessed by school officials and law enforcement for investigations, disciplinary actions, and criminal prosecutions related to bus incidents
