Repeals Wisconsin Elections Commission emergency rule 2407, which took effect June 10, 2024, and created s. EL 6.05 in the Wisconsin Administrative Code

The repealed rule had prohibited municipalities from providing absentee voters with any uniform instructions other than those prescribed by the Elections Commission

The repealed rule also barred municipalities from representing that additional administrative or logistical instructions were the official uniform instructions

Joint Committee for Review of Administrative Rules suspended the emergency rule on July 22, 2024; this bill formalizes that suspension through statute

Creates s. 5.051 of Wisconsin statutes to codify the repeal of the emergency rule
