Expands Wisconsin's existing law against disarming peace officers to include correctional officers, making it a Class H felony to intentionally take weapons or equipment from a correctional officer acting in official capacity without consent

Defines "correctional officer" as state or local government employees serving as guards or officers who supervise and discipline inmates, including juvenile correctional officers

Creates a broad definition of "equipment" covering items issued to correctional officers that can cause bodily harm, restraint, or incapacitation, as well as communication devices, assistance-seeking tools, or items used to enter locked areas

Applies to items the correctional officer is carrying or within their immediate presence

Classifies the offense as a Class H felony, the same penalty level as disarming a peace officer
